How to size up a new partner, and having the courage to make the first move
Happy Partnership Wednesday!
Here are 3 ideas from me and 1 question for you to consider this week to create partnerships you never thought possible.
3 IDEAS FROM ME
I.
Organisations leave clues that can help you work out if they are partner-worthy for your business or organisation.
II.
You can use my partner calculator to quickly answer the most important questions to help assess a new partner (find it here).
III.
Sometimes partnerships don’t play out as expected. To understand the track record of future partners, try Googling ‘Partnership’ and the name of the future partner. This can return press releases that celebrated a now-defunct partnership. It can pay dividends to talk and learn from those organisations.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
The best things in life are on the other side of fear - Will Smith, Actor.
While you might be apprehensive about reaching out to a new partner, the worst they can say is ‘thanks, but no thanks’, so this week’s question is this:
What’s the two minute email or LinkedIn message you can send today to a new partner?
Hint: Here is a template you can use.
