Managing year-end demands, Olympic trust and achieving 8-figure growth

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH BE IN MOTION

Welcome to Partnership Wednesday! Here are 3 ideas from me and 1 question for you to consider this week to create partnerships you never thought possible!

3 IDEAS FROM ME

I.

Omega has been the official timekeeper of the Olympics since 1932. Through wars, economic challenges, and technological changes, the partnership has continually innovated, introducing precision timing systems and groundbreaking technologies to elevate global sports. This is the value of trust, consistent communication and an unrelenting desire to innovate.

II.

One factor separates businesses that grow and those who don’t: It’s partnerships and here's why:

6-figure businesses focus on individual deals.
• Every customer is a win.
• Every sale feels like progress.

But 8-figure businesses think bigger.
• They use partnerships to open entire markets.
• They turn one deal into hundreds of opportunities.
• They build ecosystems, not just transactions.

If you’re stuck thinking deal by deal, you’ll stay small. If you master partnerships, you unlock predictable growth.

III.

My partners in other businesses are making unreasonable requests before the holidays, how should I respond to meet their needs and reduce my team’s overwhelm? I was asked this question from the crowd this week. Here’s my answer:

When partners make unreasonable year-end requests, use this three step approach:

1. Prioritise: Acknowledge their needs and ask, ‘what is absolutely necessary to complete so you can have a great holiday?’
2. Set Boundaries: Be transparent about your team's capacity and share a realistic timeline that protect their workload.
3. Collaborate: Offer alternatives. For example: "We can deliver X now, but Y will need to wait until January. Does that work for you?"

Partners value honesty over burnt-out teams. It’s about preserving trust and delivering sustainable outcomes, not just ticking boxes under pressure.
