How every successful partnership starts, growing on the inside and what to do when spider senses tingle
Before we dive into this edition of the Wednesday Partnership I’m excited to share that this coming Friday at 0700 AEDT, the next Ask Me Anything episode of Partnership+ featuring Mel Rosenthal will drop on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube.
Subscribing and following these channels has a disproportionally positive impact on my work.
Now, without further ado, here are 3 ideas from me and 1 question for you to consider this week to create partnerships you never thought possible.
3 IDEAS FROM ME
I.
Every successful business partnership started with two people taking a calculated risk, investing each day to earn trust and agreeing that at no point would they present a surprise to their partner.
II.
Partnerships can help your organisation grow on the inside and grow on the outside. To grow on the inside relates to partnerships that help build systems, processes and redundancy to ensure you can consistent serve your customers. Those that help to grow on the outside help your business reach new markets, segments and customers.
Both types are necessary to build an enduring business and the tactics to build each type are the same.
III.
Any instinct that makes you feel uneasy about the future of a potential business partnership is a signal. Find evidence to corroborate the instinct before making a ‘Go’ / ‘No Go’ decision.
1 QUESTION FOR YOU
