Friday Film: Post Traumatic Stress Is The Tip Of The Iceberg
Everyone should have a human cause they’re passionate about, no matter how busy life is. It’s a simple philosophy. My focus, through Soldier On, is military veterans and first responders who suffer of post traumatic stress, a debilitating condition that affects some of Australia’s finest and their families and friends.
This film is a brutally honest account of the impacts of post traumatic stress and here is a poignant insight for those less familiar with post traumatic stress:
The system that turns into PTSD is the system you need to do your job, because it is the system that allows you to be prepared for danger… now for some reason, and we don’t know why, the system gets locked, locked on, and it doesn’t shut down when the danger goes away. We want to shut it down. It doesn’t need to be turned on.
Join me in re-imagining the modern veteran and supporting Soldier On and other high quality not-for-profits that provide care and support to our veterans and first responders.
